What kinds of pets do you photograph?
The most common types of pets I photograph are dogs, cats, and horses. However, I am open to capturing almost any type of pet and I have photographed alpacas, goats and cows!
What do you specialize in?
I specialize in portrait photography, including adults and children, dogs, cats, horses, and other types of pets. I capture images that show the bond and the unconditional love between people and their pets, something I whole-heartedly relate to.
Do you have a Studio?
Yes. I have a fully air-conditioned studio located in Robina.
Where do your Location sessions take place
I shoot mainly in the country! I love the look and feel of country sessions. I have specifically chosen locations that are quiet so you and your dogs can feel comfortable without onlookers and if you dog is anxious around other dogs, you can rest assured he or she won’t see one!
What if my dog is unwell or does not have long to live
I will prioritise your session and I can come to your home. The comfort of your dog is my also a priority and I would never make them travel to me. If you do require me to come to you and you live more than 10km from Robina you will incur a travel fee of 50 cents per km round trip. This is on top of your session fee.
I don’t like being in photographs. What do you have to say about that?
I don’t blame you. Being photographed takes a great deal of trust in the person behind the lens. Having said that, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard, “I don’t photograph well” from a client only to hear them pleasantly surprised and glad they decided to be in the photographs. While I personally prefer to stay behind the camera, I realize the importance in being on the other side of the lens. And thanks to the photographs’ ability to trigger memories and senses, I’ll never lose what it feels like to rub my dog’s ears or smooch my cat on the head. A photograph allows you to cherish these special moments forever.
What happens after the session?
One week following your session you will come to my Studio for your reveal session. During this session I will show you a slideshow of 15 – 25 of your best images. We will talk about wall art options, select your favorite images, and decide the best way for you to enjoy these images in your home. Typically this can take up to 2 hours.
How much does a session cost?
A weekday studio or location session is $165.00. A weekend studio or location session is $220.00.
The cost of wallart is in addition to your session fee. I have a number of options for example framed fine art storyboards, canvasses or acrylics. Typically, packages start at $990.00
Can i buy the digital files of the photos from my shoot?
In the same way that a film photographer does not sell their negatives, K9 Photography does not sell full, 300 dpi, digital files except for commercial purposes. This is for quality-control reasons. However, I want you to have and enjoy your images in all forms for years to come, and as such I offer your images non-printable on a slideshow. Your slideshow is included with your wallart!
